WHAT IS BOLLINGER CANYON BULLDOG FUND?

The Bollinger Canyon Bulldog Fund is a non-profit entity (EIN #68-0413690) dedicated to raising funds, through the collaboration of parents, educators and the community, to maintain and enhance the quality of education at Bollinger Canyon Elementary School. The Bulldog Fund board oversees the fundraising and works with the administration and teachers to determine how the money raised will be allocated.

BULLDOG FUND HAS PLEDGED  $221,813 FOR THE 2025/2026 SCHOOL YEAR

WHAT DOES THE BULLDOG FUND PAY FOR?

The money raised pays or expands programs and resources that are an important part of elementary education, but are not paid for by the district and/or State. For 2025/2026, the Bulldog Fund will commit $221,813 to pay salaries and support for the following programs:

Program
Description
 Classroom / teacher support
  • Our Para Professionals work directly with students in the classroom.  They provide one on one, or small group instruction.  Our teachers rely on Para Professional support to meet the needs of all students in the classroom.
 Library

  • Our librarian maintains and oversees the general operation of Bollinger’s literary center!  She provides all students with an enriching reading experience! Our librarian supports student reading in many different ways! Children are given the weekly opportunity to check out books, listen to selected read-aloud texts, and learn library research skills. Each class room, kindergarten through 5th grade, including our Special Day Classes, gets at least one half hour per week in the library. The district funds half or the librarian position so without the Bulldog Fund support, classes would only be able to visit the library once every two weeks.

 Rainbow Room

  • Primary Intervention program
  • Increases a sense of safety and cohesiveness among all students at school
  • Bulldog Fund pays 20% of the Rainbow budget

  Music

  • Every child in 1st – 5th grade gets a chance to participate in a musical performance on stage for family and friends!  Bingo Schmingo, a music and rhythm program is available for our kindergarten students.
  • Every 3rd grader receives Recorder lessons.
  • After-school chorus for all students in grades 4th and 5th.
Reading/Math Intervention
  • Provide small group instruction to students needing extra support in reading and math.
  • Reinforce classroom instruction and intervention strategies
Art
  • Continue funding for professional art instruction and supplies
